Funerals & Memorial Services
You Don't Have to Plan This Alone
A pastor to walk with your family through a funeral, memorial, or graveside service in Warren, Michigan. You don't need to be a member or have a church.
We're Sorry for Your Loss
A Pastor for Your Family's Service
When someone you love dies, the funeral home will ask who is going to lead the service. Many families in Warren don't have a pastor to call. Pastor Eli of Westview Baptist Church would be honored to be that pastor for you, whether or not you have ever set foot in a church.
He will meet with your family, learn about the one you lost, and lead a service that honors them and gives real comfort from God's Word to everyone who comes.

At a Funeral Home
Pastor Eli will officiate at whichever funeral home your family has chosen in Warren or the surrounding area. He works alongside the funeral director so you only have to plan once.
Graveside & Committal
A short service of Scripture, prayer, and a few words at the cemetery, whether it follows a full funeral or stands on its own.
Here at Westview
If you would like a church funeral, our sanctuary on Stephens Road is open to your family, along with our people to help you host it.
Memorial Services
A service held days or weeks later, with or without the body present, including after a cremation. A memorial gives family who live far away time to gather.

Common Questions
Things Families Often Ask
We don't belong to a church. Can you still help?
Yes. Most of the families Pastor Eli serves at funerals are not members of Westview. You do not need a church home, a Baptist background, or any prior connection to us.
Is there a fee?
Yes, there is a fee for funeral services. Pastor Eli will go over it plainly with you on the first call, before anything is planned, so there are no surprises for your family.
How quickly can a pastor be available?
Usually within a day or two. Funeral timelines are short, so call as soon as you know you need someone and he will work around the funeral home's schedule.
Our loved one wasn't a Christian. Will that be a problem?
No. Pastor Eli will honor your loved one honestly and kindly, and he will share the comfort and hope God offers to those left behind. He will not pretend to know what only God knows.
Can family members speak or share music?
Of course. Eulogies, favorite songs, a slideshow, a poem, or a reading from a grandchild all have a place. Pastor Eli will help you order the service so it flows well.
